Double standards

All this evolution.. all the fucking talks about equal rights between sexes and then you grow up and realize every women you know accept their rules and their ways.. Your girlfriends say you have to be smarter, "they're all egocentric! that's just the way it is!"
Millions of women died for equal rights and we still bow our heads to the their way... I don't know if I can do it. Is it adaptation or a retrogression?
It goes so much against my nature it infuriates me and every time I give in I'm pushed further away from my true self.
